Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains what happens to money paid to the ISKCON Kirtan Ministry through this website. It covers two kinds of payment, which are treated differently: competition entry fees and donations.

Competition entry fees

Entry fees for the World Holy Name Festival 2026 Global Competitions are Rs 50 to Rs 100, depending on the competition. The fee covers the cost of administering and judging the competition.

• Once an entry has been submitted and the fee received, the fee is not refundable. This is because the entry enters the judging process immediately.
• If the Ministry cancels a competition before judging, every entry fee paid for that competition is refunded in full.
• If you are charged twice for the same entry, or charged an amount other than the published fee, the difference is refunded in full.
• An entry that is disqualified for not following the published rules is not refunded.

Donations

Donations to the ISKCON Kirtan Ministry are voluntary and, once made, are not refundable. Donations are applied to the Ministry’s work of spreading the Holy Name.

The one exception is an error: a duplicate payment, or an amount clearly different from the one you intended. Write to us within 7 days of the payment and it will be refunded in full.

Cancelling an entry

You may withdraw a competition entry at any time before the closing date of 23 September 2026 by writing to us with your entry reference. The entry will be removed. As set out above, the entry fee itself is not returned.

Who collects the entry fee

Entry fees are collected for the ISKCON Kirtan Ministry through its technology partner’s payment gateway. Refund requests are handled by the Ministry at the address below.

Donations to the Ministry are not collected this way. They are received by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness through its own channels, which is what makes the 80G receipt valid.

How to request a refund

Write to info@iskconkirtanministry.com with:

• your entry reference (for example WHNF26-1234) or the payment reference;
• the date and amount of the payment;
• what happened.

How long a refund takes

Approved refunds are sent back to the same method you paid with. The Ministry initiates the refund within 7 working days of approving it. Your bank or card issuer then takes its own time — usually a further 5 to 7 working days — before the money appears in your account.
